RAFI was founded in Ravensburg in the year 1900. The RAFI Group is active on a worldwide level with approx. 2,000 employees in seven manufacturing and three distribution companies. Its headquarters are located in Berg near Ravensburg, Germany. RAFI develops and produces electro-mechanical components, control systems for human-machine communication as well as electronic assemblies and devices. The great level of added value within the RAFI Group is ensured due to relevant expertise and delivery reliability for all RAFI customers. The product division for electromagnetic components is made up of short-travel keyswitches of the MICON, RACON and RF series that are used in industrial membrane keyboards, car steering wheels, and car remote controls. The LUMOTAST pushbuttons and RAFIX control components are primarily used for mechanical/plant engineering applications and control systems. In particular, the RAFIX 22 FS series, with an extremely flat design and the PCB mounting option, is still the technological leader in this segment. In the Systems Division, customized input systems are available such as glass and industrial membrane keyboards and touch-screen systems, including electronics and electronic interfaces for input, switching, and display applications. The contract manufacturing of customer-specific electronic assemblies and equipment, including worldwide procurement of the components, testing after-sales service are all centralized within the EMS Division (Electronic Manufacturing Services).
