Kratos, through its subsidiary Composite Engineering, Inc. (CEi), designs and manufactures high-performance aerial targets and unmanned aerial combat systems, including training and all requisite support equipment, for the U.S. Department of Defense and international customers. Now spanning 30 years of service, Composite Engineering Inc.'s (CEi) high performance aerial target drone systems have supported generations of war fighters in the United States and abroad. Since 2002, CEi has been the sole-source provider of subscale aerial targets to the U.S. Air Force with the BQM-167A (AFSAT). Also, the U.S. Navy has selected CEi's BQM-177A as its next-generation subsonic aerial target (SSAT). In addition to its contribution to the airborne of elements of the GQM-173A Supersonic Sea-Skimming Target (SSST), CEi is responsible for the development of software associated with the subsonic GNC, launch GNC, and mission planning. With 80,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in Sacramento, CA, CEi is a vertically-integrated model of efficiency. While many firms accomplish only segments of composite engineering or manufacturing, CEi's multi-disciplined team designs and builds some of the world's most advanced target drones within its own modern facilities. In support of its commitment to maintain high quality standards, CEi holds ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev C certifications from Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
