Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de RÃ©ception des Grand HÃ´tels or AICR - the International Association for Deputy Managers and Front Office Managers of Luxury Hotels (International Committee) The AICR was founded in 1964 on the CÃ´te d'Azur in France by the Chefs de RÃ©ception of several grand hotels in the south of France and Monaco and over more than 40 years has developed into an international organisation represented in 15 countries to date, 1000 members and continuing to grow with Morocco having joined in 2013 at the International Congress in Roma. The assocations provides Front Office Managers with an invaluable network offering the following: o a friendly and professional support mechanism o exchange of views, information and experiences o forwarding of reservations making it easier for guests to move to an unknown hotel o the receptionist of the year competition - the 'David Campbell Trophy'â€‹ o recruitment and ways to attract more staff into the industry o job search The Amicale means much more then just a professional organisation. The word was chosen deliberately to highlight the friendships between amicalistes which have been formed over many years. AICR International organises our annual International Congress each January in a different city of one of our national sections.
