The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation is a Swiss children's charity promoting peaceful cohabitation worldwide by comprehensively strengthening the competencies and rights of disadvantaged children and adolescents. In Switzerland, the Children's Village in Trogen with its activity areas intercultural living, exchange and education is the heart of the Foundation. Here, adolescents from projects in South Eastern Europe, pupils from Swiss school classes and children and young people living in the Children's Village come together. However, in our 12 project countries worldwide there are no Children's Villages. In these countries we work with established independent partner organisations which offer high-quality project management. We develop projects in cooperation with our partners and provide our assistance in project management and in issues relating to our core topics education and intercultural cohabitation. Children and adolescents are the focus of all of our work. We promote the commitment and participation of children and adolescents in all their activities. This support involves assisting and implementing projects that are aimed at improving public awareness of the child rights, in Switzerland and abroad
