Merv's love of trucks started at a very young age. He used to wait at the end of his parent's driveway with lunch pail in hand. A neighbor used to stop on his way by, pick up Merv, and let him tag along. Merv was thrilled to ride in his gravel truck. In l964 Merv sold his l957 Chev Bel Air and bought his first single axle gravel truck. It was a l964 Chev 60 series. Over the next few years Merv worked as owner operator hauling products for different companies. In l969 Merv realized he could go out and get the work, then hire people to get the job done. M. Pidherney's Trucking Ltd was incorporated in 1971. Merv evolved his company by providing excellent customer service and Pidherney's growth continues to be based on this approach. Everyone at Pidherney's cares about your success. Throughout the organization, we have invested and continue to reinvest in the resources needed to complete your projects. Pidherney's employs competent and experienced project managers, superintendents and site foreman among a following of excellent operators and ground personal. It is the depth of our employee bank that allows Pidherney's to complete projects within budget and schedule without sacrificing quality. We are a large construction company with over 600 employees during peak season. We have over 500 pieces of equipment including excavators, scrapers, dozers, loaders, rock trucks, packers and a fleet of over 100 gravel and lowbed trucks. Pidherney's also provides concrete sales and deliveries from our Transit Mix batch plant. To round off our multi-faceted company, we also operate several sand and gravel pits throughout central Alberta. We are a 'one-call'â€‹ service organization that is ready to handle any oilfield, civil or hauling project.
