Founded by Colin Pyle, John Quilter and Bodil Blain, CRU Kafe shares a vision to provide an amazing cup of organic, tasty coffee. Ultimately, we aim to provide the best tasting speciality coffee in an environmentally friendly way. CRU is a fast paced, ethically minded start-up that produces the best tasting artisinal organically certified coffee, available in either convenient letterbox friendly beans and grounds, or in recyclable Nespresso® Compatible coffee pods. Why CRU Kafe? QUALITY: We use high altitude, 100% arabica coffee beans through partnerships with some of the most specialised producers in areas recognised for growing the best coffee; for example, the Ethiopian collective, the Peruvian collective & the community estate in India. TASTE: Our passion for perfection informs the entire journey from bean to cup – from securing the best beans to roasting them into our unique "speciality coffee" standard. As a result, CRU coffee delivers a strong, sophisticated cup of coffee with layered flavours of caramel and subtle notes of fruit. Our Light Roast capsule even won best tasting coffee in a pod by the Sunday Times. MINIMISING THE IMPACT ON THE EARTH: Our capsules are packaged in a biodegradable material and we are constantly striving for a fully biodegradable product (packaging, foil etc.) CUSTOMER SERVICE: As a small team we take the utmost pride in our attention to detail concerning our customers. At the end of the day, if you're not happy, neither are we. As a testament to our efforts, we can be found in Ocado, Wholefoods, Harvey Nichols, Harrods and various other outlets across the UK and abroad.
