Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success. DCP was the first charter high school in Silicon Valley and currently operates two high schools and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP is recognized locally and nationally as a leader in first-generation college success. 96% of DCP graduates attend college; 90% persist in college 3+ years. DCP's college completion rate is 4x that of similar students nationwide. DCP Alum Rock is ranked in the top 10% of schools in CA serving low-income students of color.
