Headquartered in Olds, Alberta, Mountain View provides financial services to personal, business and agriculture members. The credit union opened its first branch in Cremona in 1943 and has continued to grow over our 70+ year history. Mountain View and Eckville Credit Unions amalgamated in August, 2016 and is now a credit union with an asset base of $730 million, 13 branches and 125 employees. We serve over 17,500 personal, business and agriculture members throughout Central Alberta. Sharing our success with the people who make it possible is a fundamental principle of being a credit union. Mountain View Credit Union has shared over $22.4 million in Profit Sharing with our members since 1988. Our local ownership means local investment. Mountain View invests directly in our communities through donations, sponsorships and scholarships, which represented over 2.8% of our pre-tax profit in 2016. In addition, our Charity Golf Classic, hosted annually in July, has raised $135,000 in the last 7 years for local organizations and projects.
