BAYS Florida, Inc. was organized and chartered as a Florida Not-For-Profit Corporation on April 19, 1982. The agency, founded by William F. Bowman, was developed with the objective of improving the quality of life and increasing the potential of Florida's youth. Since then, BAYS has provided high quality and professional youth and family services throughout the State of Florida. Over a 30+ year history BAYS has grown into a multi-faceted organization with 14 office locations across the state of Florida and employs over 100 staff members. Our Mission BAYS Florida works in partnership with individuals, families, and communities to inspire change, growth and success. Vision A Florida that believes in the value and worth of all people and their ability to change, grow, and succeed JDAP Program JDAP is a diversion program that provides services to youth age 17 and under referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and approved by the State Attorney's Office (SAO) in the judicial circuit in which services are to be provided. JDAP concentrates on determining the individual needs of the youth admitted into the program, addressing those needs, then encouraging the youth to successfully complete the program while aiming to minimize their risk of becoming repeat offenders. JDAP strives to influence youth to remain crime free during their participation in the program and thereafter.
