Since 1963, Ann Martin Center has been a leading nonprofit agency in Northern California with specialization in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of emotional and learning disabilities in children. Our mission is to improve the lives of at-risk children, youth and their families in Alameda County by providing psychotherapy, educational therapy, diagnostic assessment and training. Annually we serve over 1,000 families through over 30,000 treatment hours. Ann Martin Center bridges the gap between education and mental health by providing exceptional clinic and school-based services that strengthen academic achievement, promote healthy development and address barriers to learning. We provide the skills and support that are critical in nurturing happy and healthy children. The agency is named in memory of Ann Martin, MD, a pioneering behavioral pediatrician and youth advocate. Dr. Martin was among the first in California to lead research on psychological and educational intervention for social-emotional problems in childhood. We have a multi-disciplinary staff that includes learning specialists, psychologists, social workers and marriage family therapists.
