The British Society of Animal Science works to improve the understanding of animal science and the ways it can help ensure food is produced ethically and economically. By sharing the latest in animal research, BSAS aims to enhance the welfare and productivity of farm animals to help produce quality, safe and environmentally-sustainable food. The Society runs regular conferences and workshops for academics, scientists, students and people working in the livestock industry to share the latest in animal science. It also publishes Animal, a monthly international journal of animal bioscience published in collaboration with the European Federation for Animal Science and the French National Institute for Animal Research.
