Collaborate CIC is an independent social business based at London South Bank University. It is a policy and practice hub that was established in 2012 to explore and support better cross-sector relationships to improve services to the public. Collaborate is chaired by Lord Victor Adebowale. Collaborate has built a strong track record of cross-sector thinking, culture and practice to support public service transformation, with clients and partners including city and county councils, voluntary sector organisations, private sector providers, Cabinet Office and international bodies such as the Social Innovation Exchange and UNDP. It has published influential and sometimes radical policy work on social value commissioning, contracting for complex needs, demand management and mobilizing the ‘collaborative citizen'. Collaborate can draw from recent work in Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Leeds, Suffolk, Essex, Coventry, and Tyne & Wear.
