Established in 1999 by City workers from local churches concerned by the inequalities they saw around them, City Gateway has successfully helped over 10,000 people improve their life chances and become economically active. Our mission is to bring hope to communities by transforming the lives of children, young people, and women most impacted by social exclusion and economic inequality. We do this by delivering inclusive programmes that target those most in need, focus on the whole individual, and build strong foundations in families and communities. Working closely with employers, policymakers, and community groups, City Gateway creates meaningful opportunities to engage, improve, and progress into long-term education, employment, or enterprise. This enables them to develop the skills and confidence they need to grow, develop, and succeed whilst having a wider positive impact on community cohesion, economic resilience, and family life.
