The RCR leads the specialties of clinical oncology and clinical radiology in the UK, and works to influence national and international developments in these fields. Representing Fellows and members at a national level, the RCR promotes quality standards and strives to ensure that the advances in the science of clinical oncology and clinical radiology are recognised in health policy. The RCR aims to develop and support the training of consultant clinical radiologists and clinical oncologists who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver optimum care to patients and continue to adapt to changing healthcare environments. The RCR supports its Fellows and members throughout their careers via a number of high-quality resources which are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that they are consistent with current standards of practice and developments in the specialties. The College supports academic excellence thorough a variety of fellowships, professorships, prizes and awards for its Fellows and members, funded through a number of routes. Bursaries and prizes are also available for undergraduate medical students.
