Olaya Studio is an award wining architectural design firm based in Philadelphia, PA. The MBE firm focuses on servicing university and institutional clients in the mid-Atlantic region, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and District of Columbia. Founded in 2006 by Richard Olaya, the firm offers a wide variety of architectural services including new construction, additions, renovations, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. Our experience includes master planning, programming, architecture, and interior design. Olaya Studio strives to produce unique and lasting solutions which contribute to the constant shifting urban landscape. We believe that establishing the parameters of our design is a multi-layered process which begins with the client's wishes, needs, and desires. Our palette consists of innovative, sustainable materials, as well as time tested technologies to create designs that benefit the occupant as well as the environment. Olaya Studio's growing list of institutional clients include Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, Howard University, Temple University and Rowan University. Olaya Studio was recently recognized by the University City Historical Society with an Outstanding Preservation Award for the restoration of the Drexel Smart House. The Studio is a full service architectural firm with the capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently, ranging in size, up to $10 million in construction costs.
