Options Community Services (OCS) has been providing critical services to the residents of Surrey and the surrounding areas for 47 years, originally as Surrey Community Services, then merged with OPTIONS: Services To Communities, effective April 1, 2009. We are a non-profit society and registered charity dedicated to making a difference. We are committed to empowering individuals, supporting families and promoting community health. Everyday, we aim to achieve these goals through a wide variety of programs and projects. We operate over 80 different services and supports designed to support the heart of our community, its people, from infant-hood to later life. The name "Options" comes from our belief that for communities to be healthy, people need to have choices and opportunities to live their most fulfilling lives. Our commitment to empowering individuals, supporting families and promoting community health has resulted in many new programs and partnerships over the past 35 years. All of our services meet or exceed all applicable municipal, provincial, federal and other applicable statutes, regulations and by-laws. We are also accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). This is a demonstration of our commitment to quality, client centered services and our accountability to the community. OCS values the positive relationships we have made and the support we have received from our community partners. We are especially proud of our tradition of hard work, caring and integrity. Last year alone, we helped over 100,000 people with a team of approximately 229 full-time and 97 part-time staff and 425 volunteers.
