John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization. Our mandate is to address the root causes of crime and to support the creation and maintenance of healthy communities. Thus, our primary role is providing primary, secondary and tertiary prevention services to children, youth and adults in Waterloo Region and Wellington County including the cities of Cambridge, Guelph, and Kitchener/Waterloo. John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington takes a holistic and broad approach to crime prevention that assumes myriad factors contribute to crime including social and community factors. All of our services are premised on the belief that diverse prevention services help build healthy neighbourhoods, communities and citizens. We work closely with community stakeholders including schools, probation officers, police, courts and others. Services are provided out of our offices in Cambridge, Guelph and Kitchener, as well as in schools, police stations, churches, courthouses and various community-based settings.
