Writers often work in isolation. Fledgling writers are often unsure about the quality of their writing and hesitant to share it. The London Writers' Society is a community-based organization that provides a safe place for writers to share their work, get feedback and receive support for their writing dreams. We host critique groups, have a monthly general meeting and seek to provide a way for writers in and around London, Ontario to connect with each other. NOTE: Although the profile form requires that the minimum number of employees be listed as 1, all the hours I have put into this organization - including my year as the founding president - have been as a volunteer. I have received no pay, paid membership dues myself, and contributed significant resources of my own into the organization in order to get it going. I have done this because I believe in the cause of helping writers connect with other writers so they don't feel so alone, and because most writers need consistent feedback if they are to improve their writing.
