MHA is a national charity providing care, accommodation and support services to over 17,800 older people throughout Britain. We are one of the most well-respected care providers in the sector, providing high-quality services to older people for almost 75 years. Our Live at Home services help combat loneliness and isolation among people living independently in their home. They do this through a varied programme of activities at each scheme, all chosen by members themselves. Our 73 retirement living schemes provide older people with a vibrant community in which to live, along with extra support and help should residents wish. And, as well as residential care, we provide specialist dementia care for residents living in our 88 care homes, almost 88% of which are rated as 'good'​ or 'outstanding'​ by the Care Quality Commission. In addition, we provide life-enhancing music therapy to our residents who are living with dementia and also look after the spiritual needs of residents and their families through our Chaplaincy service. To help provide these services, we employ more than 7,000 dedicated staff and enhanced by the commitment of 5,500 volunteers. What sets us apart from other organisations which operate in the same field is our mission and our values by which we work. As a charity, we aim to provide high quality services which are excellent value for money and all our surplus is reinvested into providing services for older people now and into the future.
