Dyfed-Powys Police works to safeguard people living, working and visiting the counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys. We are the largest geographic police service nationally, with the lowest crime rate per 1,000 population. We are also more likely to bring an offender to justice than other forces across the UK! We serve a resident population of over 488,000. This is increases significantly between early spring and end of summer every year, with the volume of tourists that arrive to enjoy our lengthy coastline, vast rurality and many villages and county towns. Our area stretches from St David's in the west across to Crickhowell in the east and up to Welshpool and Machynlleth in the north.
